Sample Activities

In the beginning of the performance, the actors used a rap to introduce Aesop. In groups of four or five, make up a rap to teach others about something you learned recently (maybe from Math, ELA or even Social Studies) Once you have made up your rap, use objects found around the room to create the beat (Be creative!). Share your "teaching rap" with the class.

One of Aesop’s most popular fables is The Tortoise and the Hare. The moral of The Tortoise and the Hare is “Slow and steady wins the race.” What if instead the moral was “Winning isn’t everything?” How would the story need to change? As a class, re-write the story of The Tortoise and the Hare to illustrate this new moral.
