Intro
Sample Activities
To trademark a clown face, a clown sends a photo of his/her face
into the Clown Registry, where the face is then painted on a goose egg and kept
in the registry. Create your own Clown Registry by letting the children draw
themselves as clowns, and hanging the self-portraits around the room!
Read
descriptions of various circus animals or
performers from
The Happy Circus, and let the
students
guess who you are describing.
Examples:
-“I wear a long, red cape and a big, white hat. I carry
a baton.” (Bandleader)
-“I am an instrument that clashes!” (Cymbals)
Fun Fact:
An Elephant Never Forgets!
Circus elephants can respond to sixty verbal commands, as
well as recognize both human and animal friends after years
of separation.
