2006-07 / The Commedia Princess and the Pea
The classic tale told in the Commedia dell'Arte style. Join
a troup of players as they tell the tale of a forelorn prince
determined to find a wife despite the objections of his
overbearing mother.

CAREERS
IN THE ARTS WORKSHOPS - Grades 3, 4 and 5
This sequence
of three workshops, one each year, engages students in a range
of exercises and activities specifically selected to sharpen
their abilities as they learn some of the skills and methods
used by various artists in their respective crafts.
ECHOES
- Grades 6, 7 and 8
Part literary
competition and part professional performance, the ECHOES program
was developed to encourage young writers. Through the
fall, students submit original writing in the form of short stories,
skits, poems, commercials and songs. From nearly 3,500 entries received
annually, outstanding pieces are selected to adapt into a unique
musical variety show to tour in the spring. An awards ceremony recognizing
outstanding writers follows each school's performance.
HIGH
SCHOOL ASSEMBLY - Grades 9-12
Staging works
from The Glass Menagerie to contemporary favorites like The Complete
Works of
Shakespeare: Abridged, our youth theatre offers high school students
a professional theatre
experience akin to the Off-Off Broadway stages of New York City.
