Our Musical Theatre, known as Broadway in
the Finger Lakes, will open its 36th season of performances
in the Historic Carousel building in Emerson Park on Owasco Lake in 2007.
Each season, we produce five spectacular Broadway musical productions.
The facility, which underwent a $2.5 million renovation between
the 2003 and 2004 seasons, has been dedicated as the Preston
H. Thomas Theatre in the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse. The project
allowed for a remarkable transformation of the facility, significantly
widening our technical abilities and providing our audiences
with greater comfort and accessibility. In 2004, our first season
in the newly expanded theatre, we performed for nearly 40,000
patrons, an audience which grew an impressive 13% over the 2003
season, a rate over 3 times the national average. In 2005, our audience
swelled to just under 50,000 and we experience our first sold out
production run in our new facility. Disney's Beauty and The Beast sold
out for its entire extended production run of 27 performances, that's 13,500
patrons in just 3 1/2 weeks. In 2006, our audience crossed the 50,000 benchmark increasing some 7%
to 53,351. |

Our Youth Theatre has been in operation for well
over 40 years.
Initially providing weekend drama classes
for local youth, the youth theatre has developed into the
Sequential Dramatics Program. Currently serving over fifty-five
districts throughout upstate New York, our youth theatre helps
schools meet the New York State Learning Standards with performances
and workshops tailored to each grade level. Annually,
we mount 10 tours that serve over 125,000 students across the
state. Our service area stretches from Jamestown to Utica and
from Watertown to the Pennsylvania state line.

Our administrative offices, apart from our production facility
at the lake, are located on the second floor of the Westminster
Presbyterian Church, 17 William St. in Auburn, NY. From this location,
we manage
both our touring youth theatre and the musical theatre.
