General Information for All Patrons
WHERE TO PURCHASE TICKETS
Tickets for the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse may be purchased in person, by phone or online. Please note that there is a small per ticket fee for online ticket transactions.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
The Merry-Go-Round Playhouse accepts the following: Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard & Discover.
REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES
All Ticket Sales are Final. Refunds and Individual Ticket Exchanges are not permitted.
OBTAINING YOUR TICKETS
Tickets will be mailed, by request, if order date is at least two weeks prior to performance. All others will be held for pick-up at the Box Office.
FORGOTTEN OR LOST TICKETS
Our Box Office staff will be happy to replace them at no additional charge.
PLEASE PLAN TO ARRIVE EARLY
The theatre doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain time. To allow adequate time for seating, we recommend you plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to curtain. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager and only at an appropriate break in the performance.
RESTROOMS
Restroom facilities are maintained by Emerson Park and are located outside of the Theatre.
PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES - SMOKING, EATING & DRINKING
Merry-Go-Round Playhouse prohibits smoking, eating or drinking inside the theatre building at all times. We reserve the right to confiscate and dispose of any food and drink items, including water bottles.
CAMERAS AND/OR RECORDING DEVICES ARE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN
The use of cameras and audio or video recording devices is strictly prohibited at all times while inside the theatre. The theatre reserves the right to refuse admittance to anyone with a camera or recording device.
CELLULAR PHONES AND PAGERS
Patrons are asked to turn off cell phones and pagers. Be considerate of your fellow patrons and the performers.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE SEATING
Wheelchair seating must be requested when ticket reservations are made.
LISTENING ASSISTANCE DEVICES
Hearing Assist devices are available from the House Manager prior to the performance. An ID must be left as security against non-return.
CHILD BOOSTER SEATS
A limited number of child booster seats are available for our younger patrons. Please see the Box Office to obtain a Booster Seat.
For Subscribers Only
SUBSCRIBER EXCHANGE POLICY
Only Subscribers are permitted to exchange their tickets. Call the Box Office at least 24 hours prior to your original performance to reschedule for another performance of the same show. Please note, seating is subject to availability. Seating location for exchanged tickets may not be the same as your regular subscription seats. Your exchanged tickets will be held for you at the door. We ask that you please bring your old tickets with you.
If for whatever reason you can't reschedule, we suggest that you pass your tickets along to a friend. Or, you may release your seats to us for re-sale and receive their face value as a tax-deductible contribution. To take advantage of the contribution benefits, you must notify us at least 24 hours in advance.
Group Policies
RESERVATION & SEATING INFORMATION
All Group reservations must be made by phone. Seats are assigned on a best-available basis upon receipt of contract and deposit. Seating arrangements within the group are solely the responsibility of the group leader.
Wheelchair seating arrangements must be made at time of reservation.
For groups of 30 or more, one seat will be provided at no cost for the escort/group leader.
DEPOSIT & PAYMENT INFORMATION
A 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required with return of signed contract by the due date specified on the contract. Seats are not guaranteed until a signed contract and deposit are received.
Final payment and confirmation of ticket quantity is required no less than 30 days prior to performance. Only one reduction in ticket quantity is permitted after original reservation. Ticket reservations unpaid at 30 days prior to performance will be released for resale and result in the forfeiture of the deposit. Once final payment has been received, tickets will be mailed to the person designated on the contract.
Final group size determines per ticket price. Additional tickets purchased less than 30 days prior to performance will be charged at full ticket price.
Payments may be made by check, money order, or credit card.
All sales are final. Refunds for unused tickets are not available.
ARRIVAL AT THEATRE
Buses are asked to arrive at the theatre 30 minutes before curtain. Groups arriving less than 10 minutes prior to curtain will not be seated until intermission.
There is a Bus Parking Fee of $20 at Emerson Park. A Parking Voucher will be supplied to the Group Leader for the Parking Fee.
Groups not met by a MGR representative should have the escort or group leader check in at the box office before your group leaves the bus.
Redeeming Gift Certificates or Gift Subscriptions
Gift Certificates and Gift Subscriptions are good for any Evening or Matinee performance as chosen by the recipient. To redeem a Gift Certificate or Gift Subscription, the bearer must either visit or contact the Box Office by phone.
Gift Certificates and Gift Subscriptions do not guarantee specific performance times or seating. Seating is subject to availability at time of redemption.
A Gift Subscription entitles the bearer to one ticket to each of the four productions during the indicated Musical Theatre Season. Gift Subscriptions are treated as any other subscription with all rights and privileges thereof. It is recommended that all Gift Subscriptions be redeemed prior to the opening of the first show of the season.
Gift Certificates entitle the bearer to the indicated number of tickets to any one performance during the indicated Musical Theatre Season.
Tickets will be held for you at the Box Office. Please, bring your certificates with you as they are required to obtain tickets.
