A
mysterious stranger arrives in a sleepy 1950's town riding
a motorcycle and carrying a guitar. The town will never be
the same as the handsome stranger proceeds to get everything All
Shook Up. The MGR is pleased to be presenting the
regional premiere of this most enjoyable musical. The score
is all Elvis
and includes everything from Jail House Rock to Love
me Tender. The twists and turns of the plot are provided
by none other than William Shakespeare. The King and the Bard
make for a great combination in this charming tale of romance,
comedy and oh yeah, great music!

Les Misérables The
third longest running show in Broadway history is coming
to the Merry-Go-Round
Playhouse.
By very special arrangement with Music Theatre International,
the MGR has obtained the rights to present the regional
professional premiere Les Miz. Winner of eight Tony
Awards including Best Musical and Best Original Score,
this much loved musical is a story of "the power,
the passion and the triumph of the human spirit".
Theatre goers will be thrilled to see this epic piece
of theatre in the intimate Playhouse setting.

This
multi-Tony award winning musical will be our 3rd regional premiere
of the summer. We worked especially hard to get the rights
to this marvelous piece of theatre. It is the story of a down
on his luck Producer and neurotic Accountant who team up to
pull the con of the century. They've figured out that they
can earn more from a flop than a hit, at least that's what
they think. Merry-Go-Round Playhouse is proud to bring Mel
Brooks' singing, dancing, comic extravaganza.

Basement Ladies is an
outrageously witty and truly heartwarming musical about the
ladies who work in the church kitchen and prove that feeding
and “shepherding” the flock is not all sugar and spice. The
